Here you are able to explore an open-access searchable database on indigenous African and Asian manuscript documentation from Angola, Goa, Mozambique and Timor, from the 1600s to the early 1800s. This database concerns manuscripts  in the archival fund “Avulsos do Fundo do Conselho Ultramarino” held by the Arquivo Histórico Ultramarino (AHU) in Lisbon, the main archival institution that safeguards manuscript records from the former Portuguese colonial empire since the sixteenth century.
